Keno is very similar to playing bingo or the lottery. Keno which originated in China used to be known as the "Chinese Lottery" . They played this game with sheets that had chinese characters printed on them. They had thousands of characters to choose from but about 80 winning characters were chosen for each game.

How to Play Keno

Keno is a very simple and easy game to play and understand. Each player is given a Keno card which has 80 numbers on it (1-80). Players may select as many numbers as they like but no more then 15, they do this by marking it off on their Keno cards. Once all the players have placed their bets and handed in their cards the game begins. When the game starts 20 of the 80 numbered balls drop into the barrel. These 20 numbers are the winning numbers and they will be displayed on the screen. If you selected any of the winning numbers you will be paid out accordingly.

Keno Strategy

The first and most important thing to do when playing Keno is to have fun and enjoy yourself. When playing any casino game including Keno you should set aside a certain amount of money to play with and when that money is finished you should stop playing and leave. Some Keno cards are more expensive then others and this doesn't necessarily mean your chances of winning are greater. When it comes to selecting numbers on a Keno card it is believed that it is best to select between 5 and 8 numbers.
